Happy Valentine’s Day! That just felt weird. Finally have the stickers on the way, want some? Also hav the open letter written up and will be getting that out to everyone I can think of within the next few days.
CinemAddicts co-host Greg Srisavasdi interviews Nat Faxon, Jim Rash and Zoë Chao as they talk about their favorite films. Raising Arizona, The Jerk, Man’s Favorite Sport and The World of Henry Orient are covered.
Happy New Year all you Cinemaddicts listeners! Got a brand new episode ready for 2020. Greg and Anderson have a few worth knowing about it the first few weeks of the new year and look back at 2019 and the best they saw in December. Thanks for listening!
It’s the last show of 2019 and all the big Oscar hopefuls are flooding the theaters. The final few films that will be trickling in over the last couple weeks are covered and a bunch that have been seen since last episode are blathered about.
We got into a discussion about The Lighthouse right after the show ended. Huge regret for not including this. It will get it’s due on the episode 110.
I’ve wanted to do this for a while now and figured this was a great time to do so. Last day of vacation and I wanted to single out a very select few people who have been there for just about every step. I’m sure I left a couple people off the list and I’m sorry if that’s you.
Back home next week and ready to get back to work.
This week I recount a twitter thread from a successful filmmaker. Christopher McQuarrie posted 25 tweets on October 23rd of this year, including many words of wisdom and points to think about, no matter what creative field you’re trying to make a living in. His feed and this thread have since been removed from twitter for reasons unknown to me, so I wanted to share it with you directly. I’d like to thank Superfan Giovanni for bringing this to me not once, but twice.
I also give a brief update on the latest with the Groupers release.
Greg and Anderson get to the rest of the November releases that have them interested, but not before talking about some of the movies they’ve seen since the last episode that include The Irishman, Terminator: Dark Fate, Dolemite is My Name, Danger Close and Primal. Their picks for the their 1979 films are also unveiled.
You too can become a Patreon Member and gain access to the monthly bonus episodes as well as all of Greg’s exclusives, including interviews, commentary and the occasional Lens video check in. He’ll also watch a movie of your choosing.
