I’m not working this week on the movie or anything movie related and it feels weird. I’ve got exactly one year left before the deadline and before this feed dies on a high note or a depressingly dour note.
Anderson Cowan is on vacation, and my buddies Eric Holmes and Bruce Purkey are to fill in as we talk about the films Tesla, Train To Busan Presents: Peninsula, Watch List and Uncle Peckerhead.
Eric has a “Swear Jar” concept where he’s donating money to Seed and Spark. Email ourcinemaddicts@gmail.com or post on our CinemAddicts Facebook Group a movie you’d love to see get these funds!
I’m far from home, but my mind is still on the project, there’s no other way to go about it. Just a quick check in and some news about that awful 17% associated with the RT Critics score.
Got the Q1_2020 Report and it’s not great, but not a death nail either. I give you a behind the curtain look at what it’s like to receive such news as a tiny little filmmaker.
The insanity continues in Hollywood during the pandemic. The first 2 weeks of August has 33 official releases being made available on VOD. That’s a whole lot of movie. Greg and Anderson have a handful each that sound promising and Greg has even seen a few of them already.
As promised, the THE COLD COCKLE SHORTS are linked below.
Seems that I’ve been sidestepping some priorities and my flawed logic has been getting the best of me. That stops this week. Also, still waiting to hear how Groupers did in January, February and March of this year. This could turn out to be a big problem, but I’m holding out hope that it’s not.
Here are my interviews with Legacy of Lies actor Scott Adkins and writer/director Adrian Bol. Plus I talk to Jessica Swale, who makes her feature writing/directing debut with the Gemma Arterton and Gugu Mbatha-Raw headlined Summerland. To enter my 5 DVD Legacy of Lies Giveaway, head over to Deepest Dream. Also, please Rate/Review my new podcast Find Your Film if you can!! Thank you!!
